INDUSTRY Global 2020 is canceled, INDUSTRY Virtual is born

I’m writing to share some unfortunate news — but also give a bit of a silver lining as well and share something we are excited about.

We have to announce the cancellation of the in-person 2020 edition of INDUSTRY: The Product Conference. We’re really disappointed, but it’s just become clear that it will be impossible to put on INDUSTRY this September, as we originally planned, due to COVID-19. It is incredibly difficult for us to do for so many reasons (including the fact that we really love putting on a great show!) — but because of the health and safety concerns for our speakers, attendees, and sponsors, it’s obvious that it’s necessary.

We are, however, excited to announce the first Virtual edition of INDUSTRY — which will take place during the same timeframe! The lineup includes Jason Fried and Ryan Singer of Basecamp, Julie Zhou (Former VP of Product Design at Facebook and Author of The Making of a Manager), Ash Maurya (Creator of The Lean Canvas), and many others. More than two days of great talks, though, INDUSTRY Virtual includes experiences that are usually only possible in-person — like “face to face” attendee networking, a virtual exhibit hall (with live demonstrations), and more. It’s a completely new experience, but one we’re really excited about!

If you’ve already registered for the in-person edition of INDUSTRY, which we have canceled, you have two options:

  1. You can roll your pass over to next year’s in-person edition of INDUSTRY, which will be held on October 4-6, 2021. This way, you can enjoy the experience you signed up for — albeit, a year later than planned — without having to worry about getting a new expense approved.

    In doing this, we will also grant you a complimentary “Conference Plus” pass to this year’s INDUSTRY Virtual (a $249 value). And your support will be a massive help to the INDUSTRY team.

  2. If you cannot roll your pass over to INDUSTRY 2021 and, instead, you wish to receive a refund — you can request one here. You must make your request by the end of May and we’ll process it by the end of June.
